Covid-19 Procedures

Masks

  • The Northwestern Health Unit requires that masks be work in our building during public gatherings. Some masks will be available if you need one.  Please respect the conscience decisions of other church members.

Practice Physical Distancing

  • The church building is set up to allow for us to gather with physical-distancing. Some chairs have been removed from the sanctuary to keep appropriate distance between the rows. Chairs are set up in the basement with distance between them. There are more available chairs than people allowed in each room, so there will be flexibility. Throughout the service (as well as before and after), please seek to maintain two-metre distancing as best you are able as this is one of the basic requirements for churches to re-open.

  • Since we are functioning at 30% of capacity for both the basement and the upstairs, please do not go back and forth between the upstairs and the basement. There will be some need for going back and forth (i.e. the sound person) but we want to keep to that restriction in good faith.

  • Along with our main entrance, we will ensure the back door and wheelchair entrance are unlocked so you can utilize those for entering/exiting as needed. As of this time we are not requiring any particular group to enter through a particular door but would simply encourage you to do your best to avoid crowding.

Parents & Caregivers

  • Unfortunately we are not able to provide nursery for the children or give-aways after the service at this time. As noted earlier, we expect the service to be around 50-60 minutes. We happily anticipate the natural noise which comes along with having young children in the service.

  • There will be a children's colouring page and clipboards provided. If you are able to bring your own markers, that would be helpful. There will be markers available if you need some.

  • We certainly recognize that children can be difficult to contain. Please do your best to keep your children with you or with other adults in your social bubble (those you do not need to distance from. i.e. grandparents). This also includes the times before and after the service. As we know this can be difficult, we ask for our church family to be gracious.

Other Information

  • We will not be collecting an offering during the service to eliminate the need for passing the offering bags. There is a donation box available by the mailboxes. Bulletins will be set out in advance on chairs.

  • It is not our plan or desire to try "police" the service. Please come, relax, and enjoy the blessing of Christ-centered corporate worship. We are hoping the plan and guidelines in place will allow us to enjoy a genuine worship experience under these far-from-ideal circumstances. We'll continue to learn and adjust as needed.
